Remedi

Vibrosauna simulates the effect of exercise and massage in a comfortable reclining position, reducing the strain on joints and muscles.  It's a therapeutic dry sauna consisting of a padded vibrating bed and dry heat which circulates through the capsule over and under the bed. Whilst cold air keeps your head and face cool, the rest of your body is inside the sauna.

It provides vibration and warmth in a soothing and relaxing environment. The vibration relaxes the muscles and nervous system, whilst the introduction of the heat improves circulation and helps to flush toxins from the body system.

Recovery

After a 20-35 minute vibrosauna session the muscles are relaxed, soft and pliable. This allows physical treatments (such as chiro, physio, TCM or massage) to produce better results in short times, improving efficiency and efficacy of treatment. Vibrosaun sessions in between physical treatment appointments, help to improve the healing process.

Fit and Tone

Having a Vibrosaun session for 45 minutes at a higher temperature of 65 degrees or more, is equivalent to a 3 km to 4 km brisk walk or light jog. Vibrosaun is very different from a traditional sauna, in that unlike saunas, the combination of vibration and dry sauna heat improves muscle tone, stimulates perspiration and increases your metabolism. Just as you would normally achieve through exercise. Use Vibrosaun to simulate exercise without putting stress on the body. Use it to enhance recovery from intensive exercise or sports.

Neuropathy Relief

When there is a build up of impurities or an imbalance of nutrients, it can lead to symptoms of neuropathy and muscle wasting. Neuropathy and muscle wasting is more common as we age or can be due to treatments (e.g. chemotherapy or drug induced). Vibrosaun can support your lymphatic system, kidneys and liver, which are responsible for cleansing the body and removing impurities from the body.

Detox

We are exposed to toxins in our environment and food every day. Regardless of weight and health status, chemicals and toxins build up in the body. Use Vibrosaun to detox through the heat & sweat out those nasties! Open your skin pores and produce glowing skin!

Remove Cellulite

Cellulite is characterised by "cottage cheese" appearance due to hardened pockets of fat tissue. These pockets of fat can encroach on blood and lymphatic vessels making it harder for waste to be removed and for nutrients to be delivered. Cellulite can become painful if the pressure within the pockets becomes too high. Vibrosauna sessions have been used to treat all types of cellulite and improving skin fitness for over 25 years.

It also helps lower your blood pressure. Vibrosaun sessions also helps to reduce hyperactivity in adults and children (supporting those with ADHD). It is also useful for people with tactile sensory dysregulation and assist with sensory regulation in people with Autism. Vibrosaun is widely used to help people with anxiety and low mood.

Lymphoedema Relief

Lymphedema (aka lymphoedema) is swelling that can result from lymph nodes removed (lymph node dissection or lymphadenectomy - usually for cancer). Left untreated it can manifest into other complications. Vibrosaun can reduce lymphoedema by improving your lymphatic system function.

Important information

What are the side effects of using Vibrosaun?

With the heavy toxin release that is stimulated, some may experience passing detox symptoms such as headache, fatigue or irritability, to name a few. These do not last long. Be sure to stay hydrated after you session to help alleviate detoxification side effects.

It is common to feel hot (or like having hot flushes) and it is common to continue to sweat immediately post-session. Everyone has different levels of sweating, and whether you sweat or not, it is not an indication of a "better session".

Some prescription drugs which have side effects of nausea or vertigo (dizziness) can lead to these symptoms through the vibration and heat effect of the Vibrosaun. If you experience nausea or vertigo after using the Vibrosaun, and are taking prescriptions drugs with these side effects, please talk with your doctor (GP).

Heating of the low back area of women during the menstrual period may temporarily increase menstrual flow. This will not contradict your use of the vibrosaun. Many women find relief of menstrual symptoms after using the Vibrosaun due to improved blood flow and decreased inflammation.

Muscle soreness is a common side effect because the vibration causes your muscles to contract frequently. Gentle stretching daily may help, as can a shower or a warm wheat bag applied to the sore muscles. People tend to notice muscle soreness the next day, similarly if you were exercising.

It is not common to feel shooting pain in an area. If this occured please see your doctor, as it may indicate an injury you were not aware of. Reports of this happening has only been in people with injuries which were still swollen or relatively new, and in people with one of the Contraindications who should have not used the Vibrosaun in the first place.

Who can use Vibrosaun?

Anyone aged between 16 - 80 years age without any contraindications can use the Vibrosauna.
For children over 10 years age and for adults over 80 years age, Vibrosaun may be used at a lower temperature and for no more than 15 minutes at a time.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

Do not use Vibrosaun if you have one or more of the following:

CARDIAC CONDITIONS - the use of saunas should be avoided by anyone who has unstable angina, recent mayocardial infarction & severe aortic stenosis.
HAEMOPHILIA/PRONE TO BLEEDING - the use of saunas should be avoided by anyone who is predisposed to bleeding.
ALCOHOL/ILLEGAL DRUGS - Alcohol and illegal drugs intoxication decreases a person’s judgment; therefore he/she may not realise when the body has a negative reaction to high heat, therefore do not use the sauna if under the influence of alcohol or illegal drugs.
CARDIOVASCULAR ISSUES, OBESITY OR DIABETES – individuals suffering from obesity or with a medication history of heart disease, low or high blood pressure, circulatory problems or diabetes should consult their doctor first. Heat stress increases cardiac output and blood flow in an effort to transfer internal body heat to the outside environment via the skin (perspiration) and respiratory system. This takes place primarily due to major changes in the heart rate, which has the potential to increase by 30 beats per minute for each degree increase in core body temperature.
CHRONIC CONDITIONS ASSOCIATED WITH REDUCED ABILITY TO SWEAT – Multiple Sclerosis, Central Nervous System Tumors and Diabetic Neuropathy are some of the conditions associated with impaired sweating. Also if you have had laser/drug treatment for Hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating condition) you may need to operate the Vibrosaun at a lower temperature and no more than 15 minutes at a time. Consult your GP prior to sauna use.
COMMUNICABLE SKIN DISEASES – these include warts, scabies etc. Even though our unit is cleaned between sessions and the warm-up time of the vibrosaun is believed to get rid of bacteria/sterilize the unit, we ask that if you think you may have any communicable skin disease, please inform us before using the sauna. We will advise you if we can offer this treatment.
IMPLANTS – metal pins, rods, artificial joints or any other surgical implants generally not heated by this system. Nevertheless, you should consult your GP prior to using a sauna.
JOINT INJURY – if you have a recent (acute) joint injury, it should not be heated for the first 48 hours after an injury or until the swollen symptoms subside. If you have a joint or joints that are chronically hot or swollen, these joints may respond poorly to vigorous heating of any kind.
MEDICATIONS – Individuals who are using prescribed drugs should seek advice of their GP or pharmacist for possible changes in the drugs effects when the body is exposed to elevated body temperature. Diuretics, barbiturates and beta-blockers may impair the body’s natural heat loss mechanisms. Anti-cholinergic (e.g. amitriptyline) may inhibit sweating and can predispose individuals to heat rash or to a lesser extent, heat stroke. Some over-the-counter drugs, such as antihistamines, may also inhibit your ability to sweat.
PREGNANCY – it is not recommended that pregnant women use a sauna, however, it is safe to use when breastfeeding.
SENSITIVITY TO HEAT – an individual with sensitivity to heat should not use a sauna.
