Vibrosauna - state of the art sauna

Vibrosauna simulates the effect of exercise and massage in a comfortable reclining position, reducing the strain on joints and muscles.  It's a therapeutic dry sauna consisting of a padded vibrating bed and dry heat which circulates through the capsule over and under the bed. Whilst cold air keeps your head and face cool, the rest of your body is inside the sauna.

It provides vibration and warmth in a soothing and relaxing environment. The vibration relaxes the muscles and nervous system, whilst the introduction of the heat improves circulation and helps to flush toxins from the body system.

Recovery

After a 20-35 minute vibrosauna session the muscles are relaxed, soft and pliable. This allows physical treatments (such as chiro, physio, TCM or massage) to produce better results in short times, improving efficiency and efficacy of treatment. Vibrosaun sessions in between physical treatment appointments, help to improve the healing process.

Fit and Tone

Having a Vibrosaun session for 45 minutes at a higher temperature of 65 degrees or more, is equivalent to a 3 km to 4 km brisk walk or light jog. Vibrosaun is very different from a traditional sauna, in that unlike saunas, the combination of vibration and dry sauna heat improves muscle tone, stimulates perspiration and increases your metabolism. Just as you would normally achieve through exercise. Use Vibrosaun to simulate exercise without putting stress on the body.

Neuropathy Relief

When there is a build up of impurities or an imbalance of nutrients, it can lead to symptoms of neuropathy and muscle wasting. Neuropathy can also be caused by ill management of our health (e.g. poor diabetes control) or can be due to treatments (e.g. chemotherapy or drug induced). Vibrosaun can support your lymphatic system, kidneys and liver, which are responsible for cleansing the body and removing impurities from the body.

Detox

We are exposed to toxins in our environment and food every day. Regardless of weight and health status, chemicals and toxins build up in the body. Use Vibrosaun to detox through the heat & sweat out those nasties! Open your skin pores and produce glowing skin!

Remove Cellulite

Cellulite is characterised by "cottage cheese" appearance due to hardened pockets of fat tissue. These pockets of fat can encroach on blood and lymphatic vessels making it harder for waste to be removed and for nutrients to be delivered. Cellulite can become painful if the pressure within the pockets becomes too high. Vibrosauna sessions may assist with all types of cellulite and improving skin fitness.

Arthritis & Pain Relief

Stress Relief

Research shows that vibrosaun sessions improve sleep and helps to relief tensions and stress, because it relaxes muscles and the nervous system. It also helps lower your blood pressure. Vibrosaun sessions also helps to reduce hyperactivity in adults and children (supporting those with ADHD). It is also useful for people with tactile sensory dysregulation and assist with sensory regulation in people with Autism.

Lymphoedema Relief

Lymphedema (aka lymphoedema) is swelling that can result from lymph nodes removed (lymph node dissection or lymphadenectomy - usually for cancer). Left untreated it can manifest into other complications. Vibrosaun can reduce lymphoedema by improving your lymphatic system function.

What to expect at a Vibro session?

Pack

Pack spare clothes, eye mask if you would like, and bring your ipod & headphones if you would prefer to listen to your own music. Make sure you have eaten within 2 hours before your session and that you are well hydrated to get the most benefit out of your session.

Remove

Remove sunscreen, makeup, lotions, creams, oils and moisterisers before using the Vibrosaun. This is important as these damage the vibrating bed and they hinder your pores from opening up during the session. We have makeup remover and cotton pads in our bathroom in case you forget.

Undress

Strip off. Most clients prefer to wear a swimsuit, light active gear, underwear or go nudie rudie (if you like your sauna hot, just remember it is a good idea to cover sensitive areas from 78℃ degree heat).

Customise

We will show you beforehand how to adjust the levels of the face fans, starting temperature  and bed vibration intensity. Controls are located within the pod for easy adjustment any time. We recommend going low with the vibrating intensity, especially on the 1st go.

Lay Back

Lay down on our fresh clean towels. Lower the lid over your body whilst your head remains completely outside of the pod for the session.

End

Your timed session will end with the vibration cutting off and the timer reaching 0:00. Remain lying down in the pod for another 2 minutes to let your body readjust slowly. Sit up slowly because the heat can make you feel light headed. Eating and drinking well helps to reduce dizziness. Change into loose comfortable clothes, because you may feel hot or even still sweat after your sauna.

Hydrate

Make sure you drink 2L water within the next 24 hours to replace fluid losses from perspiration.  If you sweated a lot, we also suggest having an electrolyte drink post-session to replace these losses. We have these for purchase for your convenience.

Repeat

It is safe enough to use 2-3 times a week provided you have none of the Contraindications or medical conditions that are advised against using a sauna, AND provided you replenish the fluids and electrolytes lost through sweating.

Important information

What are the side effects of using Vibrosaun?

With the heavy toxin release that is stimulated, some may experience passing detox symptoms such as headache, fatigue or irritability, to name a few. These do not last long. Be sure to stay hydrated after you session to help alleviate detoxification side effects.

It is common to feel hot (or like having hot flushes) and it is common to continue to sweat immediately post-session. Everyone has different levels of sweating, and whether you sweat or not, it is not an indication of a "better session".

Some prescription drugs which have side effects of nausea or vertigo (dizziness) can lead to these symptoms through the vibration and heat effect of the Vibrosaun. If you experience nausea or vertigo after using the Vibrosaun, and are taking prescriptions drugs with these side effects, please talk with your doctor.

Muscle soreness is a common side effect because the vibration causes your muscles to contract frequently. Gentle stretching daily may help, as can a heat pack to the sore muscles. People tend to notice muscle soreness the next day, similarly if you were exercising.

It is not common to feel shooting pain in an area. If this occured please see your doctor, as it may indicate an injury you were not aware of. Reports of this happening has only been in people with injuries which were still swollen or relatively new, and in people with Contraindications who should have not used the Vibrosaun in the first place.
